Hi all, hope you and your families are all keeping safe and well.
As promised, we’ve got an update for you on our return to play following the impending end of lockdown.
Unfortunately, despite outdoor community sport being theoretically allowed under tier 2 restrictions, the RFL have decided to maintain their “no activity in December” policy for all amateur clubs so we won’t be able to get any sessions in before the new year.
This is to ensure there are no Covid spikes over the xmas period caused or exacerbated by community rugby clubs, so not jeopardising their planned full return to training for all ages in January.
So, our first session of the Spring term will be Sun 10th January, 9.30am as usual on the grass pitch at London Road Sports Centre.
I know we all wanted to get some sessions in before xmas, but we have to abide by the restrictions our governing body puts in place.
